"What do we do about it, and how?"

Targeted sustainability consultation is for businesses that want to move beyond “knowing” to “doing”. After identifying key risks and opportunities based on your business and sector, it is essential to take concrete steps towards change through targeted, cost-effective sustainability actions. This may be improving the sustainability of your supply chain, increasing the energy efficiency of your operations or premises, developing measurable sustainability targets and KPIs, or reducing waste and material use across your business.

Our targeted sustainability consultation & implementation support translates insight into action—research, planning and implementation of practical solutions to targeted problems that create measurable impact. We provide monthly support, KPI tracking, staff training, supplier changes and certification program support for clients lacking the manpower or expertise to carry out the prioritised actions on their personalised sustainability roadmap.

We help Finnish businesses identify concrete business risks and opportunities from sustainability—within 4–8 weeks.

2/2026 SUSTAINABILITY READINESS ASSESSMENT

Hotelli Tallukka, Asikkala

Hotel Tallukka is a 102-room lakeside hotel with restaurant, events and meeting facilities; pool/sauna and weekend programming located in a building built in1970. Hotelli Tallukka is well known for its live music and social dancing weekends. In Autumn 2026, under new ownership the hotel entered a new phase of operations with a clear ambition to strengthen commercial performance and operational efficiency. Sustainability mattered for three reasons: decreasing cost, improving resilience and market access.

Nexus Finland conducted a Sustainability Readiness Assessment (SRA) tailored to hospitality (hotel & restaurant) and structured around Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) topics. The project combined stakeholder interviews, site visit and an operational review. It resulted in a clear deliverable package giving Hotelli Tallukka a clear, practical way to move from sustainability intentions to execution—by establishing a roadmap and measurement foundations that support operations, credibility, and sales conversations with sustainability-conscious private and corporate customers. In addition, we identified minimum €160k annual efficiency gains.
